Mont Ventoux, Comtat Venaissin
and Pays de Sault

 

PhotoThe sun shines on the Comtat Venaissin with it's wine yards, and cypress trees. The giant of Provence, the famous Mont Ventoux, protects the Vaucluse from above with it's 1912 m in proximity to several picturesque villages where it is good to rest, re-energize and visit. The Lavender, queen in the valley of the "Pays du Sault", transforms the landscape in nuances of blue and violet.

Numerous comfortable and varied itineraries for the holiday-maker wanting to discover the scents, colors and knowledge of Provence.

This region proposes an important archirectural patrimony :

The synagogue of Carpentras, confirmation of the Jewish community in the city, dating back to the XIV century.
The Saint Sepulcre at Beaumont du Ventoux, a chapel constructed in the XI'th century.
The church of Saint Trinit, magnificent roman church.

As well as numerous fountains - Lou tresor dou Felibrige - in patois. Certain villages, like Pernes les Fontaines, counts no less than 10 that dates for the most part since the XVIII and XIX century.
